Available for new work — late 2026

Hey, I’m Gen.
I design calm interfaces
and lift heavy things.

Product designer working in Figma. I make calm, usable interfaces — usually with a protein shake in arm's reach.

About

Two disciplines.
Same philosophy.

Living in Figma since 2019

I design products end-to-end in Figma — research, IA, interaction, visual, prototyping, and the design-system plumbing that holds it all together. I care about the boring parts: empty states, error states, the third tap on a Tuesday.

My approach is pretty athletic, actually. Warm up the problem with sketches. Build a base with a clean component library. Then progressive overload — review, refactor, ship, repeat. Small reps, consistent over months.

Outside of Figma I'm probably under a barbell, on a long walk, or arguing about the best protein-to-carb ratio. I think strong bodies and strong UIs come from the same place: doing the unglamorous work, every day.

A few things I’m proud of.

Each of these started in a blank Figma file. Most ended up shipping to production. A few are still cooking.

The other half

When I’m not in Figma, I’m lifting.

I program my own training, mostly powerlifting-flavored with enough hypertrophy work to keep my shoulders happy. Five days a week. Same hours every morning. Like Figma — boring, consistent, eventually impressive.

The reason I lift is the same reason I design: I love watching something get measurably better, week over week, because of work I actually did. Compound interest with sweat.

Have a product that needs a stronger foundation?

I take on a small number of projects each quarter — design system builds, end-to-end product redesigns, and the occasional brand-to-product translation. Send me a note and we’ll see if it’s a fit.
